Sandburn Hall is nestled in beautiful Yorkshire countryside, set amongst 1000 acres of woodland and lakes. From here you can explore the network of short walks on your doorstep.
Maps are available from reception detailing 3 marked trails for you to follow on the estate. There are lots of other connecting paths and trails for you to explore the surrounding countryside, and spot some of our resident wildlife. Our walks border onto Strensall Common, a large area of land with trails that include woodland and rare lowland heath. Part of the common is managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust due to the wonderful variety of birds, animals and plants.
All golfers are welcome to play our 18 hole course. The Par 72, 6700 yard course set in beautiful Vale of York countryside is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Each of the 18 holes has unique challenges with woodlands, streams and lakes providing their own hazards. A discounted Green Fee is available for hotel residents.
The sports hall hire is open to all, regardless of membership, and available all year round. The hall is currently marked for Tennis, Badminton, Netball and 5 A-side Football. We do have basic equipment for you to hire/use.
