If you’re travelling for work, our peaceful setting, free Wi-Fi and convenient location make us a great option for business stays. For leisure guests, our location also makes it easy to explore everything the region has to offer, from the historic city of York to the north Yorkshire Moors and the east Coast.
Each of our 40 bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind, featuring superking beds, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and mini fridges. Guests also benefit from free on site parking and there are two EV charging points, adding extra convenience.
Relax in our cosy cafe bar around the fire or enjoy a drink or light bite outside in the beautiful courtyard overlooking our lakes and woodland.
The Courtyard Menu offers a delicious selection of dishes just made for sharing, and the extensive bar menu has a fine range of drinks including many favourites from our local suppliers.

Sandburn Hall is situated 8 miles north east of York, easily accessed just off the A64 between York & Malton. Located in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside in a 1000 acre estate surrounded by woodland and lakes. The perfect base from which to explore City, Coast & Country!
Free parking is available at the hotel. A convenient Park and Ride service operates from Monks Cross into York City Centre.

Your four-legged friend is more than welcome to join you on your break at Sandburn Hall! We have a number of dog-friendly Lake Rooms, each with their own private terrace leading straight into our grounds – perfect for walkies. We will also provide a cosy bed, snuggly blanket and some delicious doggy treats to pamper your pooch. Please just contact our Reception Team on 01904 469922 or email stay@sandburnhall.co.uk to book your dog-friendly room.
We also have some dog friendly tables available in Tykes Restaurant. Please pre-book for this to ensure that the Tykes team know you will be bringing your dog.

We love staying at Sandburn Hall, it’s so relaxing and the staff are amazing.
The surroundings are so beautiful and tranquil and the rooms are lovely,with big spacious beds and comfy quilts and pillows.
The views from the patio windows are amazing lots of wildlife to see, ponds and just lots of open space, bliss.

The Par 73, 6800 yard course set in beautiful Vale of York countryside is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. Each of the 18 holes has unique challenges with woodlands, streams and lakes providing their own hazards.
