Rates of pay: £12.35 per hour (negotiable based on experience).

Working Hours: Full time or Part Time (Hours would suit anyone working around school times).

HOTEL HOUSEKEEPER

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time or part time Hotel Housekeeper to join our expanding team at Sandburn Hall. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate. Ideally you will also possess the following: strong communication skills, an eye for detail, a positive outlook, strong organisational skills, the ability to develop rapport and trust with colleagues, and understand what it takes to consistently deliver outstanding levels of cleanliness in our amazing hotel rooms and all public areas of the business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Clean & prepare our hotel rooms ready for guests to check in.
  • Show off your fantastic cleaning skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain the housekeeping carts.
  • Process laundry and stock clean linen.
  • Help keep our reception and back of house areas clean and tidy.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role not essential.
  • Work alongside a friendly and experienced team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Multi-tasking is a key component in this role.
  • You will need to be fluid in your approach to your working week as early mornings, weekend work, and public holiday work will be required for this role.
  • You will enjoy working as part of a small cohesive team.
  • You will have high standards in cleanliness .
  • A desire for all things clean!
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Own transport required – located just off A64 at Flaxton.
  • Must be available to work weekends on a rotational basis.

Sandburn Hall is a family run, independent leisure business that opened in 2005. We are located at Flaxton, just off the A64, approx. 8 miles from York & nestled in a picturesque landscape of over 1,000 acres of serene lakes and enchanting woodland. Currently incorporating a 40-bed hotel (opened in 2021), 18-hole golf course, Sports Bar, Tykes restaurant & 3 Event spaces / function rooms. We offer free on-site parking for all staff.
